He is going to star as a car racer in this new drama. further news and details will come out tmr morning.
Hhahaha,getting more and more extreme sports senshu roles! He has no problems speeding I guess,but still will need more practice? Maybe he can seek Mori kun's expertise in this!!

kimura working with children... that would be a great sight.
but i do hope the story wouldn't be some 'typical' heroic stories that we get to see once to many - great talented hero (down on his luck) hired to be some school childrens' coach, first was really turned off by the kids, but his life was eventually changed at the end of the drama.

oh no......I'm chotto worried. I just realise that Takuya trimed his hair alittle in TV Navi. It's more in shape now.Dun tell me he really is keeping the long hair for good. Please please please cut the hair for the drama.I know some may think he would be kakoii with his long hair for his role of the racer. Demo I really hope he will cut it soon. It's been so long since he had a new haircut.

seriously?! YAY!! my first ever "live" kimura drama... that's such great news, i'm so excited now! a racer.... he'll be sooooo hot... when do spring dramas start then, is there a usual date or something?
i kind of like his hair, especially since anan. short is nice too though...

Yehey! My first anticipated dorama as a takuya fan. How exciting!
I personally think that Takuya would look good as a car racer. Formula 1 racers are normally of average height only. If he will be sporting long hair, i can just see myself breaking out in cold sweat if he takes off his helmet and all that hair comes gushing out (gomen ne minna for being beri sukebe minded..). I just hope it does not take us non-japanese speaking fans too long for sub-titled episodes...

If the rumour is true that the story is being based on some comic, Takuya is keeping his hair for the drama.... The character in the comic has Takuya's hair now...
Anyways, when does Takuya not look good.... Hehehe...

Oh, so the rumour has it that it's based on a comic? BTW, I do have high hopes for this, because I suddenly realized after reading a post in CS, that the dorama will be helmed by the team from Shiroi Kyoto! This is going to a pretty deep and intense dorama, I believe!

Takuya spoke a little about the new drama role.

He said that he was asking the production side to let him practice on the circuit several times before the shoot started. Apparently, his Pride body double left the set quite early, having so little to do and getting homesick.

yesyes, racing can be really dangerous... i always hold my breath when i watch racing competitions on tv... the speed at which those mean machines turn the bends!!  kiotsukete ne, takun~

Wow... This time he's singing a diff tune isn't he... Could it be that our dear Takuya has toned down!! Majide??? I sort of feel uneasy... It's so not him to utter such words... But....
I can't help but wonder if this decision has anything to do with the unfortunate accident while filming Pride... Maybe if his ice-hocky skills were a little better, he wouldn't have hurt the girl... But of course... He absolutely didn't mean it and must have felt SUPER bad about it... But I'm sure it gave him a lot to think about....
But whatever it is, I'm glad... Cos this time... those racing cars are not something to play around with... He had better not be his usual self and listen.... For his own sake, his daughters' sake and of course... ours!!!

aack! i dun like her that much, too!! she's the lead actress in Boku to Kanojo too, deshou?? aaa~ah....i dun think she'd have a good chemistry with Kimura.........hiks, i was hoping for some favorite actresses of mine....Miho Kanno, Akiko Yada.....and i dun even mind at all if its Matsu again! x)

Dear ALL,
first of all, i need to clarify something here. i believe all of us are entitled to our own opinions, thus, i hope what i'm about to say will not offend anybody. some may think koyuki is a real beauty, and she's really good in acting .... etc. but truthfully, i don't like her one bit (sorry to all koyuki fans). now, i don't hate her, i just don't like her. don't ask me "WHY??" cause i can't figure it out myself.
when i found out that she'll be the leading lady in his new drama, my initial reaction was like "HUH?" why her? i was all hyped up when the news about his latest drama ware out. now, i couldn't be bothered. this is really troubling cause i'm a self-acclaimed kimura takuya faithful fan, so, how could i not' care' about his latest drama? i have the feeling i won't be able to sit through the drama because of her. i've never been able to finish watching anyone of her dramas.
am i the only one feeling like this, or are there anyone of you out there who feels the same like i do? gee.... i'm kinda upset for not being able to fully support takuya. for the first time in history, i have the feeling of not wanting to watch his drama.

Ah! That's Koyuki then! I don't particularly like her, but I don't hate her either. My feelings for her is completely natural, the way I feel for Takako Tokiwa. I end up loving BL though, and I hope this time around, it will be the same case!

Yes, she played his ex in BL and I thought they looked good together. I have only seen her in BL and The last Samourai so hard for me to form a full opinion of her acting skills BUT! she has real screen presence and looked beautiful in the latter esp. I read an article where Tom Cruise described her as extraordinary and able to convey so much with an expression, The same is true of Takuya I think. So minna lets look forward to some serious sparks flying on screen and if they dont we always have Takuyas BEAUTIFUL face to cheer us up!!

The saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" does hold true in the case of minna's opinion about Koyuki. 
Since I am considerably a new dorama addict, I have only seen Koyuki in BL, Mukodono and Antique. I must say that though she is not an outstanding beauty, she is pretty enough and seem to be a good actress. I especially liked her portrayal of the nerdy, unglamorous and clumsy reporter in Antique.
Technically, this pairing is a wish come true for me. When we heard about the new drama, minna here in Manila started talking about who they wish would be the lead actress. I am the only one who said that I would be curious to see Takuya-kun with Koyuki. Don't ask me why because I don't know myself. It was probably just this conversation that I had with my husband after watching BL last year. He asked me if Takuya-kun and Koyuki had a drama that they are the lead partners and I said none that I know of and he said too bad...

So it's really her.... Well... I can't say that she's any fave of mine... I used to really dislike her... but for no reason. I just didn't like the way she looks. I remember when she went on SXS... OMG i wanted to slap her... She could not stop fiddling with her hair!! Get a grip! I really didn't like her at all....
But after I watched Last Samurai, I must admit that my impression of her has changed.... Maybe it's the character she played... Maybe I realised that there's actually nothing wrong with her it was just that I was bias... Thou I still do not like her, I don't dislike her anymore...
In Beautiful Life, the wheel chair role played by Tokiwa Takako... Oh maaan.... I can't stand her at all!!! YUCKS!!!! But somehow.... in Beautiful Life, she didn't annoy me... I can't explain... If I see her in dramas or CMs, Oh god I want to shoot her... But in Beautiful Life, I look and her and don't feel anything!!! SO, maybe we should give Koyuki a chance... Let's see her performance before we judge her.... Afterall, she'll be acting along side Takuya.... Hahaha... Maybe, like my BL story, she'll be alright.....
