i wasnt about to pay all that money to enter the theatres to see him, and he didnt even ENTER the theatre. yeah yeah so if i went down to roppongi hills that day i would have seen him outside but i can see him some other time, whereas my friends here dont have time to meet us too often. friendship(reality) vs takuya(dreamland), i chose reality.

and there IS a reason why shin-chan and i dont post up our smap sightings anymore. not totally, but we now only post really special ones. reason being that some fans just cannot think straight in their heads, and forget that they are in RULES RULES MANNERS AND RULES japan, and go crazy and ruin everything for us overseas fans. hence, i dont post about normal sightings anymore. there isnt really all that much to say besides kakkoii kakkoii and kakkoii anyway. this might sound a little mean to overseas fans who cannot get to see smap all the time, so i'm sorry i have to be stingy on news, and i know that sucks because i didnt use to live here that long ago either. but remii and i have taken enough flake for the shit that some overseas fans do, and enough is enough. sightings at studios have not been reported for a very long time, unless smap does something unusual. i replied to this topic here since a few of you questioned about it, but it's totally irrelevant to 2046. if you want to reply, go to sightings and post a question.

This is a 2046 thread and I think the last few posts are going a little off track...
Anyways, now that the event is over, I am actually quite glad that P-chan & I didn't go for the 2046 premier.... I did suggest to try get tickets for the show that Takuya was going for but after realising that the price was so much, we decided to go have dinner with some Japanese friends I haven't seen in ages.... When I heard about what happened, I was relieved that we didn't go... Imagine those poor things that forked out so much moeny for the tickets, and only got to see the VTR of Takuya's interview on the big screen.... as compared to those people who were in Roppongi Hills at that time, and saw the actual interview live... and free.... I'd have been so pissed...
But hehehe, Takuya did look damn good in that black turtleneck suit.... *drool* and I love how his smile twitches... How typical of him... Yeeeee~~!!! I love it...

Hi Guys, for those that DID get to watch the Japan version, any comments as to whether it may be different than the HK version or any other country relative to Takuya's exposure in the film? in HK i would say roughly 15-20 min max....

Hi,
Has anyone visited the official 2046 website? Those who have watched the movie can get to relive some of the moments, especially the music.....
But why is Takuya left out of the trailers? Is it because of some restrictions from Johnny entertainment? A bit pissed about this, especially since he has more screen time and dialogues than that Chang Zheng and yet the latter is given credit.

But why is Takuya left out of the trailers?
smap is NEVER in any of their website trailers. their faces are like a brand... an endorsement. you cant show it unless you wanna pay extra for it. so even in like their drama websites, it would show the pictures of the ENTIRE cast except the smap member. their's would be like... a shadow or something. so i guess it's the same for 2046.

regarding the auction seller and the 2046 film posted by pams on 10-24:
this might be true.... a chinese friend of my husband promise to give me a copy of 2046 dvd that he bought from macau last month, according to him, it a clear copy though not full screen, and the subtitle is 100% correct, and he said that maybe its a promotional copy, coz in the opening credits there's this..... special thanks to cannes something something.... he..he..he.. nyways... i dont feel like watching it yet.... im more excited to watch it in the big screen to see better picture of kimukun.... but needs to wait till dec. 8 . ( im sorry if i shouldnt post it here)

It's not an official release... it's a China bootleg version. It's too cheap and too fast for them to release it!! Think about it! It'll be silly to release a DVD when some countries just aired it on the big screen... Who'd watch it then!!

so much commotion over swatting flies!! hehe.. it's really confusing since there are so many versions. the japan version has japanese subs, but which versions have english subs? i'd rather get it w/english than japanese subs.. but still, i want the one with the longest takuya on-screen time. hmm..is there a version that has both?

that's what i thought when i got that copy, when the person who gave me that ,sez he bought it in macau last month... but how the hell they got that? i mean the box office suffers... who would actually watch it in cinema, when the pirated version is already availavble! havent watch it yet, still waiting for the cinema release ( dec.8-9), some friends from another kimura takuya forum ( at cheenoy) said that, that you can actually buy 2046 dvd in manila's chinatown (w/o sub title) already....

According to Chinese media, filming of James Ivory's The White Countess will begin in Shanghai one week from today. Based on an original screenplay by novelist Kazuo Ishiguro, the story is set in Shanghai from 1936 to 1937, when foreign refugees arrived in the city for a peaceful life and only discovered the Japanese was gearing up its war machine. It centered around the relationship between a disillusioned former American diplomat (Ralph Fiennes), who lost his sight several years earlier, and an exiled White Russian countess (Natasha Richardson), who worked hard to support her late husband's aristocratic family. The cast also includes Vanessa Redgrave, Lynn Redgrave, Kimura Takuya from 2046 John Wood and Madeleine Potter. Filming will take place at a few historical houses and bars of the city as well as Shanghai Film Studio in Chedun, with recreated streets and buildings from the old Shanghai. It is expected to wrap up by the end of this year and the production will move to Rome for the interior. Russia was also mentioned as a location. The film is budgeted at near US$30 million by Merchant Ivory Productions, and Shanghai Film Studios, which will coordinate the filming in China, has put in about US$1.2

hey i just bought the 2046 DVD release in HK and it does have the extended coverage in a separate DVD with the making. the interview snippets of takuya are only from the scenes that the majority we've watched before from the previous media coverage. but his comments about the crew and actors playing tennis and using the rackets as fly swatters is definitely mentioned. he's so cute he jokes that he couldn't figure out whether the movie set was for filming or for tennis but he enjoyed it tremendously. and i really do have a newfound respect for faye wong as she's pretty much been the only castmember to outwardly and extensively compliment takuya's "gifted acting ability" on numerous occasions. kudos to her too for the respect!
and there aren't that many un-used footage of taku-chan but still worth the purchase as 2046 is still regardless of any and all negative reviews is the BEST INTERNATIONAL FILM in my book this year!!!...and of course best anime is obviously HOWL!!!

i am soooooooooo happy!!!
i saw it!
i can't believe i got to see kimura takuya on a real screen in a real movie in a real cinema in cologne in germany in europe!! *breathe in, breathe out - calm down*
i was sooo nervous watching it and it was great! i LOVED takuya in it, he's done a brilliant job! my first real smap experience here...... and as an afterthought, i really liked the movie itself as well  ... hehee
