hahaha, my dad oso said something lidat last year.
the concerts clashed with sch(probably tis yr too, if it's summer concert...sigh), so they said something like:
"girl ah, u wana miss sch just cos u want to go japan to see ur wat su-ma-pu or something? they ur grandfather or wat?... japan so ex, u got $? n who u going with? dangerous anot... later got stampede at concert u get crushed to death ah...blah blah blah"
in the end, cos of "u no $ go lah", "dun u even think of missing sch, even for a day!!!" and "so many pple at the concert... later everyone as crazy as u, scream n jump the moment ur su-ma-pu or wat appear, u get crushed to death how?"... i was stuck in spore... sigh...
i haf a feeling history gona repeat itself this yr... *fingers crossed*

i finally bought a live smap 2000 dvd from hmv japan.... i love multi-angle options!!! woohoo!!! did all of you watch the multi-angle for urasma?? TAKUYA IS SO CUTE OK!!!!! (oh all of them are, but you know... i'm biased...)
feel quite cheated out of my live amigos dvd... zero multi-angles. sheesh.
i need to win the lottery so i can bribe some tv crew in japan to get me a tape of takuya during concert... ie, ONLY takuya during concert... *wishful thinking*

Some thoughts on tat concert "Solo"....
bout getting the Takuya "solo" tape......
Economies of scale.........
Get 5 members fans.........pool resources.....
To get the "solos" of each member......
cos it stands to reason.........
if Kimura has a "solo" camera on him..........there should another 4 cameras on the other "solos"

I actually like.....my first "concert" exprience.....014 DVD..Let It Be..
(got the DVD , b4 I even got a DVD player...)
I was completely bowled over.......by it...I CAN ALMOST TOUCH THEM!!
Gawd......they looked so Good.........
particularly the small gestures as the curtains opened.........
Tsuyoshi's hand on his lapels....
Nakai's soft hair......
Kimura's opening.."EeeeTAI..........."
that part is engraved in memory.........
as this mountain tortoise discovered the wonders of a DVD.......on a large screen..............glad that my brother-in-law had a super sound system and theatre at home...........
Memories are made of these.........

SHUCKS well i bought the 014 live smap dvd from hmv japan. *grumble*
my first concert was live smap... but it was the vcd. i was a takuya fan... didn't know who the other members of smap were... then i watched live smap... and i was hooked. i bought the vcd then, because you know, i didn't know if i liked them then, so buying the vcd was a cheaper/safer option. after that it was dvds all the way. the clarity shouldn't be compromised. can see so clearly!!! even the zits on takuya's face! ACK!!! *horror*

may i know if the LIVE SMAP DVD that is sold at Da Da records comes with multi-angle? i read from "Groundbreaker" that only the first batch comes with multi-angle. just to be sure else will get very upset if there is no multi angle.
also saw SMAP 010 dvd at HMV the other day, wow it's so ex! may i know if its good and worth the investment to get one?

kyoko> my advice to you about 010... unless you are quite a die-hard fan and are willing to compromise $$$ for clarity, don't buy 010 dvd... i quite regretted. i actually had it on vcd, but i didn't know it was the same thing as the dvd, so when i bought the dvd, i was mighty disappointed. but that's not all... i still don't understand what the london story inside the disc is about, and half of it is in black and white. not very worthwhile to pay 100+ buckeroos for black and white i think... that's my opinion of course. but 010 remains my least liked outta all the concerts...

if you are coming for our gathering, i can play the 010 for you to have a look.... then you can judge yourself whether to buy the dvd. heh heh.
I LOVE URA SMAP CONCERT!!!! AHHH!!!!! it's my favourite.... the part where they do that "naked" dance... the songs they sung.... i really like it. wish they sung older songs more often.
i like birdman a lot too... and live smap.... live smap will always be special. my first glance at kimura takuya the singer and entertainer, (i'd only watched beautiful life... and fell in lurrrve...) and the first time i saw smap.

Yeh, I got such a shock at first when I watched 010...the dvd I bought was not the official one so I thought maybe since I had to pay less, they spent less producing it and half of it is in black and white. At least I know it's meant to be like that, don't feel cheated anymore.
My favourite concert is Birdman!!! I simply lurve it!!! I always want to laugh when I see Takuya's hairstyle in that one.
Live SMAP has a special place in my heart too though...it was the second SMAP thing I bought after SMAP Vest. I think I watched it five times the first day I bought it...once for each member.

yeah yeah i love that live smap too! i've watched dunno how many thousand times after i've buy it. i esp love the takuya single - shiosai! wow he is realli cool in it and is singing with so much feeling... heart melt....and the birdman i also grow to love it too.... yeah though takuya's hairdo a looks a bit weird at first but now i've grown to love it also! well takuya in any form is reali kakkoii to me!! bias huh ;p
as for ura smap its also great! its becos of the 2 multi angle and takuya's HA so lovely.... oophs sorrie i've forgoten myself again.... gomen...

010...at first when it showed the london story..i was wondering what is the story all about? and those "can u hear" .."No..." stuff...and then at the ending the old man said "yes"...been trying to guess what the story is all about...anyone knows?
yeah i like Ura and birdman crt!! they are really sugoi!! i like the 2nd cd of urasmap...from MC until the last song...especially Takuya mama!! "SA-BIS MAMA!!" and i really love takuya's jazzy HA and Living Large...they looked really really sexy....muakksss!!!
in birdman i like the whole cd....though takuya's hair was a bit messy ( i think he's setting it for Beautiful Life"..i like Genghis Khan..the "ooh! ahh!" thing...

I wouldn't exactly say the 010 concert was my fave. But it's still a SMAP concert and I appreciate & enjoyed it. The B&W bits irritated me a lot though. But for Shingo fans, i think it's an absolute must! For one song! $100 or not, I'd get it. It's track no 19 titled "Cho sho". OH MY GOD! I love that song to death.
Biggest qualm about it is that it's not a SMAP song  !!! If not, it'll be perfect. The song is just the best and Shingo sang it so so so beautifully.

jus to find out from minasan if birdman has multi angle? my friend in japan is flying back to spore in mid june, am thinking that she might help me get the dvd from japan. not sure if they still have stock over at japan? also does anyone have seen "su" concert? saw from groundbreaker that this dvd has multi angle too! is it a good buy? pardon me for my ignorance.... hee hee just wishing that i can get all the concert from japan since it will be relatively cheaper compared to spore. however not sure if they still have the stocks, keeping my fingers crossed!
if you have seen the dvd of birdman and su can you please give me some feedback?

Concert SU DVD has just about the most multi angle.....
2 and they also have the backstage happenings..........
not surprising.......it is a lot of peoples favourite...
Really......
For Shingo fans.....SU is a must buy.....
During Soreja Mata........Shingo is crying.......
he was so sad.....and he is really crying.........
the reason is very personal............
during multiangle....they also showed alot of clips of that memeber
my fav(of course) is Tsuyoshi......he took a fall......doing a single hand flip...maybe the stage was wet...he sliped......
and could not get up..........he cried for Shingo.....to give him a hand...
and TAT look on Shingo's face was priceless......
Shingo was actually embarassed that Tsuyoshi.....fell during a "live" performance.......he was going like..."Oh my Gawd.....he fell....I couldn;t believe it...he fell!!!"........
Subsequently....Tsuyoshi did not do any more single hand flips in that section......he did a "tuck and roll".....instead...carefully and gingerly......b4 falling into Shingo's arm.....
They look like a "Ballroom Dancing Championship couple"
Perfect.

when i first watched 010, i thought i got cheated too.... it was a vcd that came together with this cd set that i bought, and when i watched it i was grumbling that it was in b&w....
little did i know that the dvd was the same thing. i was sooooo mad...
i like the su concert! wahhha! especially su-san.... when he does that "ooh!" and bends his knees outwards. yeah the backstage parts are wonderful... i wish they had it in every concert dvd.
birdman was pretty cool too... i don't remember it having multi-angles though, does it? i still haven't got the dvd for birdman, will only get it in june. it's still one of my favourite concerts... i love the part where takuya notices the little boy sleeping. SO CUTE RIGHT!!!! (not the boy, i mean takuya. haha) and also when he sang blues masters kill. *mega drool..*
yeah shin-chan really likes that cho sho song.... she plays it at home so much until even i can remember the lyrics. what the heck. and when we went to japan, she made me ask the sales person for that song, without knowing the artist's name, only song title, and that smap sang it in 010 concert. then i found out from her, WHILE the salespeople were looking for the cd, that she didn't intend to actually buy it. !!!!!!!! wanted to punch her. luckily, the hmv we went to was outta stock too. *phew* if not, so embarrassing!

Oha...
erm... i think me, halimah and miso-soup... zenzen never understand what was 010 about... the london story... the concerts part i understand of coz.... but gonna say something... minna dont kill me! their costumes... leaves a lot to be desire.. takuya wore these bell bottoms so large that and in those curtain fabric patterns, very not takuya... who design the costumes???
the end they sing donna iikoto in english... but really dun understand the can u hear part and they were watching themselves in the cinema... hmmmm......
i got 011 Su, 012 Viva Amigoes, 013 Birdman, 014 Live Smap and 2001 Ura Smap... all in VCD HK Version by JVC, except 014, the Music Street Version...... sigh so i miss out on those DVD multi angle thing...demo for now its Quantity vs Quality... plus i dont have a DVD player... if i buy just one DVD... i can get 3 VCD... thus is my reasoning... 
Live Smap was my first concert... love it! i think the 5 of them look the best at that time... but its like the tension was evidence as takuya was announcing his kekkon... and Ura Smap... which i always watch with a tinge of regret coz of goro-chan absent...demo i love the older concert like Su and Amigoes... the guys seems more carefree... but there is this matureness about them now... which i like also... but i like to see them young and carefree... and Birdman just rocks man....

014 cd was the 1st smap cd i bought..listened to it once and chucked it away..after watching them perform Lion Heart in MS,rummaged thru the cupboard to find the cd again..I haf fallen in luv wif Smap..the 1st vcd i bought was Smap Live..really enjoyed it! then came along 010 concert~ like porcelain said, haf no idea wat's goin on except for the concert parts..Every You is nice but only when they sing it in japanese..kekeke...
birdman is my all time fav.....ura sma,wifout goro, the stage looks kinda "bare"...i was concentrating on the other member though..not goin to mention who but porcelain and miso shld know whom am i toking abt?! hahaha ....and oh yah, i love the takuya mama skit..

Me also watch VCD in the room, but I laugh so loud even my mom can hear it downstairs...and gave me warning... yellow card... soon it will be red card already... I am such a hyena...
