ARGGHHH!!! i've been MIA-ed for sooo long partly because i'm busy and also partly because i thought i might just not be going this year cos of my schedule and everything. so i was trying realllly hard to avoid this thread and the whole forum cos i know i will be so TEMPTED to get on a plane and fly there for their concert!!!! but guess wat??!!! i think im still going to try to go!!!! we'll see what happens...
in the meantime, shin!!! where's your report????????!!! i went to yahoo japan auctions and pple are already selling their PICTURES during the concert! and again i didnt look at them so i would just be like SOOO LOVESICK!

but we managed to get tickets to Tokyo Dome so to save money, Niigata had to go.
It starts in 2 hrs!!

iyada~~~~ i wanna be at the concerts!!!!! why why why????? urgghhh~~~i told myself not to look at any concert reports or pics but i just can't help myself...and now that i've seen all the concert goods.....i want them ALL!!!! OMG!!! all the posters are AWESOME!!! All the boys looked HOT!!! seriously, since i've known them, there has never been a concert where i thought all the boys looked good in their concert posters or uchiwas...but this year, i've gotta say, seriously, they all looked GOOD!!! i still don't like kimura's hair length but he looked good...they all looked sooo good with the simple white background....i'm so tempted to buy all the posters!!!!! i'm soooo going broke if i ever make it to the concerts this year...
well...side note, i've got a job interview this coming tuesday, wish me luck minna, because if i get this job, Japan here i come!!!!

I ended up going to Niigata concert yesterday!!! It was my first ever smap concert and I'm still in a state of dreamland! It was fantastic and even better than I dreamed it would be! I can't compare it to other concerts because I would be biased, but this one was really amazing. My seats were in the back, last row on the 1st floor stands, but it was really close to the encore stage!! (which is a big platform this year!!) In the MC, they talked about Shingo and Tsuyoshi doing 26 hours tv and visiting the people of Niigata after the earthquake to give them hope and strength. They said the people of Niigata have a lot of power and the fans cheered. They made fun of Goro's hair because it was sticking to his forehead again. Nakai commented on the huge stage design.. It's really impressive. (the theme is the jungle!! Big green vines going horizontally from the middle and a little waterfall!!) He said the set was in Sapporo just a week ago.. How did they get it in Niigata? Takkyubin?! (road delivery) haha!! It's way too big for that! They also pointed out the family seats portion where the fans sit at little tables.. Nakai said it feels like he's auditioning.. what if he fails?! And sure enough, the fans up there held up an uchiwa that says "Fail!" and a banner that says "Examination Time"!!
All the solos were beautiful, and the crowd was really lively. One of the lucky-sans was a little girl about 2 yrs old, and Takuya squat down and played with her while singing Mayonaka no Merry Go Round!! I wish they stayed at the encore stage longer..
Oh yeah Takuya gave Shingo a peck on the cheek during Bang Bang Vacance as usual! And Tsuyoshi did his backflips down the center strip during the dance segment!
I'm so happy I finally got to go!! I love smap!!
Edit: in the MC, as Takuya said in Friday's WUS, Goro was holding up the sun umbrella during the rehearsal!!! And he was looking at himself holding the umbrella in the mirror indoors before going out! hahahaha

ＳＭＡＰコンサートでダフ屋を逮捕
人気アイドルグループ「ＳＭＡＰ」のコンサート会場周辺でチケットを転売しようとしたとして、神奈川県警港北署は１２日、県迷惑防止条例違反（ダフ屋行為）の現行犯で東京都中野区の無職早川政利容疑者（５２）ら２人を逮捕した。２人が売り付けたのは、私服で警戒していた男女の警察官だった。
調べでは、早川容疑者らは１２日午後６時４０分ごろ、横浜市港北区の日産スタジアム入り口付近で、私服警官２人にコンサートチケット２枚を計１万５０００円で転売しようとした疑い。
チケットの定価は１枚７５００円。コンサートは午後６時に始まっており、同署は早川容疑者らが売れ残りを心配して定価で売ろうとしたとみている。
It's gonna be harder to buy tickets this year!! They were caught in in the vicinity of the Nissan stadium entrance around 6:40PM on the 12th. Just now!! They Dafuyas were trying to sell a pair of tickets to 2plain clothes officer at 15000 yen. Oh man! It's so not worth it!
Erm...I dunno why,I kinda pity them....though they have been earning loads from fans,but it has always been a both willing parties transaction.

I was happy the whole day as my friend called me from Fukuoka telling me about how Takuya and Shingo saw my made uchiwa that she brought to the Fukuoka concert...until Debbiemappy SMSed me at about 10 plus at night. I was so worried... as her message said that Nakai was injured quite seriously. Bandaged the whole stomach part from the chest and he gave a pained look after each of his solo parts. and she was very sad to see him so painful. And Nakai always the one who say a round of applause for smap before the end of the concert...but tonight he didn't do it and it was taken over by Tsuyoshi instead. ...
I quickly searched through a few japanese bbs.. and one of the fan said that It was quite obvious to see his white bandage through the side of his clothes during his solo. He looked painful... What happen to Nakai? First is Takuya and now is him.... Oh...Please get well soon...Don't let us worry...

I just came back from fukuoka about 4 days ago & he was just looking cho kawaii & genki on the 18th itself celebrating his birthday & singing so happily...
HOW ON EARTH did he get injured in that 2 days!?!!!!
Dear kamisanma please let Nakai kun recovered fast from whatever injury he is suffering from ...he still have half the concert tour to go ...Nakai kun..please take care!!

i was at the fukuoka concerts. still feeling sad about nakai.
on the 21st concert, in the beginning, his voice was quite hoarse. we thought maybe he was sleeping just before the concert starts. later, his voice did improve also. but, during the mc, he wasnt talking much and he was drinking quite a lot during performances. i didnt notice much, was just enjoying the show, thinking that nakai must be tired out during the weekend, thats why he was kinda looking out of sorts.
on the 22nd, his singing was very great. and he sounds so much better. but, when they sing Hoshi sora no shita de, i noticed him pressing his hand against his right chest, near his shoulder. he seems to be in pain. when it was time for him yo sing, he changed the mike over to his left hand and sang. i was watching him through my binos throughout the whole concert. during the song, Stay, nakai's mike seems to be spoilt and no sound came out of it. he was quite upset about it. i was watching him thru my binos and didnt see what his reaction was as his back was facing me. debbie was the one who told me what happened as she was watching the big screen. i actually thought he was in pain, thats why he couldnt sing. but, maybe it wasnt so.
then, when the dance part came on, minna had removed their long black jackets. i saw a big white bandage around nakai's chest very clearly through the back of the white shirt. at first, i thought he might be wearing a singlet like goro. but when i look at goro, he wasnt wearing any other shirts underneath his. so, i take another good look and saw that its actually a bandage. after that, start to notice, when nakai dance, his movements werent so big anymore and when his solo dance part came on, he cut a few steps. he didnt move his upper torso much. whenever after he sings or danced, when the camera was on him, he had a pained expression on his face, though he tried to mask it as a smile.
all thru the concert, except for the parts where he had to sing, his mike wasnt in use. his dance steps were also slower and he seems not to be able to raise his arms high. during the mc, he wasnt talking much. during his solo song, after the sleeves were taken away from his shirt, i can see the bandage thru the armholes. and after his solo song, he was on all fours on the stage for quite a while before he can stand to go backstage. there were also times we can see him bending down over his stomach, arm pressed against one side or supporting himself with his arms on his knees. i can also see him breathing quite hard from time to time. i was so hoping for the concert to end faster so he can rest.
sobz.....................why?! why are you hurt?! why wont you say anything?!

OH NOoooooo.... I read that he was injured but I didn't know how bad... Now that I'm reading what you saw it really pains my heart to know they are always so gambatte just to put a show on for us.... I hate it... I really do. I's be happy if they just sat and sang or just be around cos I know they won't not come at all... My darling Nakai-kun... it's ok... really... *sobs*
Reading Nakai's behavious sends chills cos it's happened to Shingo when he fell off the hanamichi crane in 2002... & I was there to see him fall a good 4-5 meters to the ground!!! Then see him bear the pain thru the next half of the concert... Though the pain was hidden behind a smile... everyone could see that his every move were greatly hurting him... I thought I was going to die from heartache!
I hope Nakai gets well soon... My prayers are with him...

Reading this just made me feel sick to my stomach. The thought that he felt he had to continue with the performance and smile just breaks my heart. I understand being professional and that everyone would be disappointed if they had to cancel the show but my goodness, at what point do they say enough is enough.

aww....it's really sad to read about nakai's recent injury....why must the boys make us worry like that??? i hope nakai will recover quickly....first it was his recent swollen eye infection and now this??? i really wish nakai would take care of his body and not work sooooo hard.....

At their aniversary concert Nakai still couldn't dance. He did once anyway and we all gave him a big applause.
Poor Nakai-kun. I felt such a pity to see him in pain. I hope he'll get well soon.

hey guys! i don't know if this has ever been said but two pieces of news:
1)on 10/9/06 (i think), the local chinese newspaper, lian he zao bao, printed a small article on SMAP's 15-year anniversary and basically talked about 60000 fans supporting them at the tokyo hippodrome, and them 'flying' down from the top, plus nakai's injury. they also talked about how nakai thanked all the fans for coming. shingo also said that even if he were the only member left after 50 years, he would perform! (:
2)on 4/8/06 (rather long ago :x) there was a quote from the local straits times: "He's past the prime of his beauty but putting on his "Don't you want to hug me?" airs. It's nauseating"- A japanese female fan on voting pop idol takuya kimura,33, as a turn-off in a magazine poll.
after reading the 2nd article i got quite mad, how could she say such a thing, and i've never seen a picture of takuya doing those airs before  yep, just for info! (i didn't know where to actually post this but the first article was on SMAP's concert haha!)
