I've seen 2 SMAP concerts....
I was just wondering, which SMAP concert do you think is "DA BEST" that you have seen and why do you think so?....I definitely want to purchase the "SAMPLE Bang" concert dvd so that I can see them "in action"....I wanted to know which concert(s) is/are your favorite concert(s) to watch....
Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated since many of you have been SMAP devoted fans for years....

LIVE SU 1997 is my most favorite concert, because that was the time i started to love SMAP, the first SMAP concert video tape i have in my collection, then i addicted to Jpop, keep surfing on internet to find SMAP related stuff
I like the SU blue character doll, too, remember it? does anyone has it?
they have a real big one during the concert, and shingo-chan is holding the SU doll's thing? anyone recognize that scene? they sing many songs only in that concert, like 'Peace', 'everything is cool', Kimura-kun's solo part with leather pant, which is the sexist one .. take my soul away .. he always winks in front of camera
the outfit, from the Gucci suit (i guess), blue suit with sneaker, causal, DIY (during 'celery' they cut the T-shirt to different styles), to the topless encall part, love all of them, no matter what they wear or dun even wear, they can show all characters in 'cool' way ..
i also like the making of, like they catch the crabs in the ponds, shingo-chan tied up his hair, look like a kid, very kawaii ..

for the action i like the most, of course which is the one i joined them in real time .. 'SAMPLE 2005' the DVD is fdefinitly worth to get one  the bonus DVD is very cool, too
SAMPLE for me, more like a party to gathering all fans to sing n wave together, express the devotion to SMAP, the unforgettable moment in my life
the other concerts i like, actually i like all of them, the 1992, they really have very young face, n TOKIO is dancer for them, lots of 'CAN"T STOP LOVING', i like Nakai-kun and Kimura-kun's solo, i think Nakai's voice was much clearer back then, Kimura's 'Stand by me' is very cool, his english n play instrument, shingo was only 15 back then, but he was much taller than Nakai-kun ...
my top list = SU 1997, VIVA AMIGO 1998 (i like the 70s, when they sang YMCA n the solo dance), DRINK (i like the FIVE RESPECT, Nakai n Kimura's solo), SMAC 2001 (Shingo-mama, Tsuyoshi mama, then Takuya mama desu), SMAP 007 (Kimura's hajimete no chu w. guitar solo)
i better stop here, i think i can write research paper abt all concerts ..

i've watched 7 of their concerts so far and my favorite is the DRINK SMAP concert.
the first concert i've watched was MIJ and it was really good. but when other filipino smappies told me that their favorite concert was DRINK (i haven't watched it yet then)...i wondered what could top the MIJ concert?
however, after i watched DRINK SMAP...(and after crying like crazy)...i understood why...just for the bonus encore (when they sang Best Friend)...then you already got your money's worth!
other bonuses: solo version of each member for Sekai, sexy dance numbers, seeing takuya barechested many times because they showed all the swimming pool scene in the different venues of the concert...

I don't really qualify to make a comment since I've only watched 3 concerts so far. but DRINK blown me away!! it just grabbed me personally I think. It might have been the fact that it was the first I've ever watched, but I must have put it on repeat (the whole dvd) three or four times back to back while I worked in front of the TV screen. Also I love love love Takuya's solo in that one.

i have only seen the last 3 of their concerts, luckily.... however, i have not watched them live which will be quite impossible since m not a member of their fan club, huhuhu.... when asked about my favorite SMAP concert, that would be the 2005 concert and the parts i always watch are the solo of takuya, the pirates part and most especially the part where they sang triangle, m still trying to memorize that song for the moment...
however, the most memorable would be the MIJ concert since it all started my passion for SMAP... good thing, m so blessed with a very generous friend who shared her cds with me... very grateful....

I LIKE: Live Amigos & SMAP 10 too but not as much as the top 7!! hahaha! Sorry... I know that's almost all their concerts!

Drink! Smap! is definitely my favorite. Incredible energy and enthusiasm; it's also the first SMAP concert I saw and so I was very very impressed by it. Smap to Icchatta is my second favorite, followed by MIJ and then UraSmap.
My least favorite is 007's concert. I thought I would enjoy it a lot but I just didn't, for some reason. @_@;

Oh WOW!  ....Great replies.....Thanks ladies....Ummmmm, I guess I'll try to get the following dvd/vhs first, based on your suggestions: Sample Bang, Drink Smap, Birdman, and MIJ....I do have the MIJ cd and I love the music....I've seen the Amigos tape which is enjoyable especially the 70s music section prior to their solos and you gotta smile when supposedly Shingo accidently drops his pants and you see his "black nylon" underwear with a "side-view" of his "ding-dong"  showing....That's as "graphic" as I'll get! ....
You know what I mean .....

I have never seen SMAP live! But I do have to say that my most favorite SMAP concert to watch is SMAP's SU. The setlist to the concert is GOLD. Almost every single hit is performed and I adored all the outfits! Everyone looked their very best! The venue is just fantastic, it's no where near small but not the massive size that SAMPLE had, where to me it seems like fans got left out there! I tend to rewatch that concert as much as I can, esp. the ending! Goro really does look like he's having a good time and that is so rare!
