They usually take the Shinkansen (express train) to concert venues if the venue is close to Tokyo.
Like for Sapporo they will take the plane.
When Pam and j-chan saw them, it was just right before they are getting off at Nagoya.
(argh!!! Totally envious!!!)
And Amamiya, you are right.
Goro chan did tried to do a backflip, but not for Tsuyoshi's song.
He tried it during MC, because he said he has been practicing during the 143 days...
Well... It kind of turned into a cartwheel...

ehh? i don't think any of them were at the beginning of the songs... were they? can't remember but doubt it. i would have definitely spotted takuya. the rest only came out towards the end of the song to join in the dancing during the chorus.

Nope the other members only came on at the end of Tsuyo's solo...
and even in the begining Tsuyo did not do the back flip, it was left out.
On his entrance into the concert he did one back flip series but that is all I can remember.
During the begining, Tsuyo does the backfkips, Nakai and Kimura do cartwheels...Nakai is picked up by the dancers and spun around in a flip...
and during the second mc Goro did a cartwheel/ trying to do a backflip...
that is all I remember...will check again this weekend..

in fact we saw Shingo twice because we saw him the next day at the station coming back from iitomo...he was so sweet...he smiled..and smiled...

After digesting all the various concert reports to date.......
I have come to a realisation..........
Nakai is trying to get someone's attention.
That ONE person's attention.
After years of sacrifice.......in making himself as "the
worst singer in SMAP".......to deflect critisism directed at them/SMAP for "poor vocal" performance......
Perhaps......he considers doing that is something he can do......
Mainly because HE can handle the critics..........
If Tsuyoshi was accredited with the "worst voice"....he will get a hard time and may not be able to handle it well......and inturn "stunt" his growth and development........given his extreme lack of confidence in his early years.........
I always knew .......having seen early SMAP performances.......Nakai is not a bad singer ..........just that during ONE period ..his voice gave out ........and he seems "committed" to being the worst singer in SMAP....
thereafter......
Now.......Nakai Kun is a little jealous........
He does not want to wear that "crown"(worst singer in SMAP) any more ....
when he really is not............
So now........he tries to be himself.........
and sings........as best he can.........
There are worst singers in SMAP and THEY have released their OWN Singles!!!
tis so unfair.......
Shingo Mama was born from Sata Sma...........she got 2 singles todate
Nakai is in Sata SMa............ too....
Tsuyoshi was doing that late night slot.....Chonan Kan...
It's his (Nakai's)turn now..........!!
I think he must have gotten a shock to know that the producer for Sarang Haeyo is Tsunku.........and Tsuyoshi got Nicknamed "Morning Tsuyoshi"
after Tsunku's most famous creation......
Tsunku is the person responsible for mainly Morning Musume...
and other groups.......
So now............with Nakai Kun doing a "take" on Morning Musume
I figured.........
He is "telling" Tsunku.......
"Hey........if you can write a song for the worst singer in SMAP Chonan Kan.......and succeed..........I think it would not be a bad idea if you wrote a song for me...too....when I can actually SING better........"
We might actually see the year 2003.....the year Nakai Kun coming out with a single............as ......?
Half of me wants it to be "Masako Chan"............the other prefers a male character........anything but Mabo....

Maybe it is just a personal challenge Nakai throws himself? He has been taking vocal lessons ...so it may be just him wanting to upgrade himself? Rather than to get the attention of that ONE person?
Nakai is famous enough, busy enough, really think he minds so much not having his own single debut? Maybe he does, afterall, I am not him. But he just doesn't give me that kind of feeling.
Afterall, he is not the ONLY one not having his own single debut. Takuya - the best singer among the 5 has yet to have his. Then I must say it has been most unfair to him.
But it seems like these 2 big brothers are happy seeing the 3 younger kids debuting.
"PEACE" of Morning Musume was sang, but from another perspective, it could well be linked to Mouhouhan's "PEACE", and it just happen that morning musume has a song titled "PEACE"....
oh well, like I say, MY 2 cents worth. Heh.

Pam: Around what time did you take the shinkansen? My sis and I also going to be reaching Nagoya a day before concert. Maybe we can meet them too...(I know it is just fathope but can't help dreaming) Maybe can camp at the train station to wait for them.(I am driving myself crazy with all these Maybe already.)

that he would like.......a new character and maybe his own single......
a while back.......Maybe he was talking bout his plans for the Chonan Kan slot when Tsuyoshi vacates it......
But I do not know if ...........this desire is prompted by Chonan Kan.....
Nakai raised a topic.........."oh...you have a new single coming up" to Tsuyoshi during one end talk..........
Tsuyoshi was a little shy...........and nodded his head...
not saying much.......(but bursting to tell)....
"Chonan Kan?" Nakai enquired........
Shingo said quietly........."Tsunku producer"......
Nakai went " Majide!"...in real surprise.....
(I mean...I think he knew bout the single but did not know tat Tsunku is producing...)

Oops Mitsuru, I think you have had a bit of a misunderstanding...
I guess you only read the Some Girl report (Nakai's radio program) not listened to it. Because if you had listened to it you would have come to a totally different conclusion.
Nakai did say he wanted a character of his own...and a solo...but he was cracking up..and joking with the announcer as he said it. It was meant as a joke..and like always it was Nakai's way of putting himself down again. Saying that he IS the worst singer and he doesn't really deserve a solo...
You see our Nakai lacks confidence, he needs constant reassurance that he is doing alright...that is his #1 weakness as far as I am concerned. I seriously doubt Nakai has the confidence to even attempt making a solo debut. I think anyone who "knows" Nakai would agree with that. Instead he will joke about and put himself. That's what he does.
And about Nakai not knowing Tsunku produced Chonan Kan...that is unbelievable...
Nakai is a great actor and you might have been fooled by his reaction. But I think not only Nakai fans but all Smap fans know that Nakai "knows" everything, and is part of everything that goes on in Smap.

AAAAAAAAAAahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Reeanne, Shingo was so god damn cute.... I don't think I've ever seen him sooooo cool! Oh God! Just thinking about how he looked when he walked out of the shinkansen and my knees are jellied!
P-chan and I actually went up onto the platform to wait. There were about another 15 people there too. When he walked out of the train.... I swear my heart stopped! His hair is now dyed grey platinum. Short spikie at the back with longer frindge pushed to the side!!! He was carrying his own backpac and had these really cool sunnies.  Oh GOD! I can't breath...
Seriously, he looked so so cool. He has lost so much weight and is as gorgeous as ever. Even P-chan gasp an 'Oh my God He's so cute!' when she saw him.
Now I keep having visions of him at the platform... wish I could re-live it all over again...

About this year's penlight, it's really sad. I'm sure you guys have seen pictures of in on other websites.
It has 3 little coloured bulbs and either flashes really fast consecutively or slowly one by one. But the lights are not very bright at all. For those of you who are coming later for the concerts and have the old penlights, do remember to bring them with you.
P-chan has 2 at home but we didn't bring them! Bummer! Almost 80% of the cround brought last year or the year before's penlight. It's much much brighter and bigger. When we looked around, we could hardly see the light from the Drink! Smap! penlight.
You can't buy the old ones from Johnny's store anymore. We just went there yesterday. They're sold out! Wanted to get another set to use for Nishinomiya... Oh well, guess we have no choice.

hi amamiya. what do you mean give a report about takuya? ok as usual he's like totally gorgeous. he was really happy during both concerts so far... he keeps looking straight into the cameras and pointing at the fans... (like, through the cameras), and yeah did you read somewhere on this board, i mentioned that he blew a kiss to the fans after singing zutto zutto...
not sure what kind of report you want though.... can't really tell you about how his singing went. of course it was good. on the first day though, i think there was something wrong with his earphones and the music was not coming to him properly. he got quite angry about that and you can see him frowning like crazy. and because of that, he sang off key during his parts in orange and also in celery. then i think during celery, he got so mad with him not being able to hear the music through his set of earphones properly, he kinda sang the wrong verse. hahahah. gosh he was really frowning. and in zutto zutto on the second day, he forgot one line, but just continued singing after that like normal. hee hee!
but other than that, he was like totally in a great mood and was smiling and laughing a lot.

hmmm.... hey reanne, as hard as it is, you really can't tell when they would be arriving and leaving. so as much as even my sister and i wanted to go to the nagoya train station to try to leave for tokyo together, we missed them. the possibility of it happening is really small, unless you have a friend in japan that really knows their schedule. what happened to masako and j-chan was really really lucky!!! i'm so happy for them and damn i wish i were there too!!! it is possible of that happening of course.... i'm just thinking that it might not be a good idea for those of you heading to the concerts to try to plan your schedule around them, when you don't even know what their schedules are...
by the way, the heat here is CRAZY. if you think singapore's hot, you've gotta re-think. it's very very humid and at least 37 degrees everyday. to wait at the train platforms, without airconditioning, for them to arrive so you can take the same train...... is highly non-advisible!!! shin-chan and i waited for shingo to arrive, and we only waited about an hour, and we were sweating like pigs.
we only knew he'd be coming because he has to come back from tokyo after waratte iitomo. that is the only reason why we could manage to see shingo. if you wanna catch the train with the whole smap gang.... it's really up to your lucky stars.
