thanks for all the info on the tickets! i cldnt sleep last night cos of the excitement.
i have a question abt open tickets, does it mean that you have to be living in Japan to call? Will they accept calls from overseas?

i think you CAN call from overseas, if you have someone in japan to help you with payment (which you can ONLY do at post offices) and someone's address that you can use for the tickets to be sent to.
however, calling isnt that easy. you have to press redial like a million times before you can get through, if you EVEN manage to get through...

Cuz.................. i tried before... (yes.. i was kind of desperate for tix...  
So you will have to get someone in Japan to call for you.
Normally you have to keep calling till you get through asking you for the dates or telling you that it is sold out.

Hi Shin -chan, thanks for the concern!! Im not a member of the fan club mainly because I really just enjoy the dramas smapxsmap and this board rather than the music so concerts dont really appeal (dont shoot me!!) Youre right though I didnt have a clue what was going on!! My parents are in their late 60`s and still struggle with a VCR so dont own a computer!! My brother has one but I have to get in line behind 10yr old twins and a 7 year old all of which are OBSESSED with the net - in short I only checked twice and then didnt have the time to post anything !! Im SO happy for minna that a concert will happen I know how much stress its caused from reading your comments. I also love hearing your stories so I wish you all luck in tracking down a member or two!!

Emm... i'm not here to frighten anyone but just a reminder for all of ya out there to be careful.
Seems like lately, FC haven been checking quite a lot and had been rather strict.
So those who plan to buy from the auctions, just be a little careful.
There's an example now of the current stage play by Shonentai, FC actually listed out the exact seats stating that those who are holding that tickets will have to prove to them that they are the ones who had applied for it. Else they will disregard and ask you leave.
So minna just be alittle careful eh!!

Smap have a huge amount of overseas fans and in effect if you are not an fc member or know someone in Japan then you have no chance. I really wish my japanese was great right now because I could try to help you guys out by phoning or paying through the post office whatever is difficult for those overseas, but I really dont have enough confidence in my language abilities and Id be really scared Id mess it up arghhh!! Why wasnt I born a linguist!! Im not kidding I should be SO much better then I am, I blame it on being busy with my son etc..but I dont study well at all, sorry guys. But dont give up Ill keep my fingers crossed.

I also wonder why they (FC) are so strict? People are willing to fly around the world just to see Smap but the promoters act as if they don't want them to have fans outside of Japan. Just think how many fans would come to see Smap if they open the sell of tickets to other countries.... Most people probably don't even try because its almost impossible. I know I read that Smap belong to Japan but isn't that a narrow way of thinking. Don't they want the world to see how great they really are? Awwwwwwwww mo ii.....

Well, dun worry too much. Considering the fact that there would be so many people at the domes, stadiums etc... ^^;
So it would be hard for them to check all.
They seemed to select certain few and maybe this might only applies to the stage plays.
I was at the play and i actually saw the staff approaching these 2 gals and ask for their tickets. I have no idea what they have said but the 2 gals left and never came back..
But like what u all have said, i think that if they ever really check, its possible to explain to them that you are from overseas etc...

Hey minna, I don't know anything about concert formats for Smap! Can minna tell me how they are? for example, do they have an opening act? I know the talk some during the concert but how long usually. Just stuff like that. I was lying in bed about 3 am wondering this......I really need help This so an addiction! Domo!

I just found out some news about the upcoming Smap's concert. Apparently, they are selling tickets to people who havent been to a SMAP concert before. Sample Seat Tickets?
If you are a boy,you can buy 4tickets, and if you are a girl, you can buy 2 tickets but it should be for a boy and girl pair. They will make sure that people who have those tickets are guys or girl with boy.
Reservations start on 16th July 10AM for the Yokohama concert on Aug 6th & 7th.
Hope this news is true...
