I just watched the winter olympics Figure Skating and Japan's Shizuka Arakawa won the GOLD medal - first Japanese Olympic gold medalist in figure skating !! And she won by a mile... 7.98 ahead of the silver medalist Sasha Cohen from USA.She was so amazing! I had goosebumps watching her twirl and spin on the ice! It was announced that she submitted the most difficult routine and the commentators were wondering if she could pull it off... She was perfect!!!! Almost effortless... The commentators were so excited cos she didn't make any mistakes at all...OMEDETOU JAPAN!!!I think we'll see her in Bistro soon... Hahahaha....

i dont like her though. she never ever smiles. but i can imagine how much she, and all other olympians must hae trained... no i cant imagine. it must have been hell.

i wanted ando miki to win but she lacks experience and isnt as mentally strong i guess. i respect her for trying out some 4-spin jump though. so many people were saying not to but she tried. she can do it, though with low success rate, and has been the only female skater to have ever been successful.

reporters are idiots though. they always make her cry because they keep asking her about her father who passed away years ago. so she and her mum have been alone since then and i think he died in an accident, cant remember, but they ALWAYS frigging ask her things like, will your father's death affect your mentality? or, if you win a medal what will you want to say to your dead father?  and force her to tears. what bloody assholes.

Really P-chan?....Oh my....You gotta be kidding - the press keeps asking Miki Ando questions about her long departed father....How crude, distasteful, and tackless....She's so young and emerging as a wonderful figure skater....Such potential....I'm sure she'll be ready for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter ganges....

As for Shizuka Arakawa, she skated beautifully and cleanly....Considering all that happened during the freestyle long program, she deserved to win the gold....I was hoping Sasha Cohen of the USA would win the gold, but her falling down after her early jump affected her score....Being such a determined and talented skater, Sasha managed to maintain her composure and concentration and she was able skate the rest of her program beautifully and artiscally to win her a silver medal....

I loved watching the Winter Olympic Games these past 2 weeks....I can't wait until two years from now when the world will have its eyes focused on the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing!....

Such dedication, commitment, and talents all of these athletes displayed....

I think I haven't been so interested in the Olympics since  2002!

I love the winter games and I can't wait for the next Olympics to take place
