In his new FMV cm... The guy called him "KimuTa " !!! Whahahaha! He was like "Huh!!"
Before we know it, Japan will start calling him 'KimuTa" instead of "KimuTaku"!! That man never learns!! Hahah!

i can't wait to see this commercial...moreover, i can't wait to see takuya's reaction when people start calling him as such...then he might have another campaign at WUS "eliminate KimuTa"...LOL
i haven't really watched any of his commercials yet (except the Levis ad...but unfortunately i didn't know him then...)...
anyways, i'm a new fan and with my past idols, i would buy almost everything they endorse...however i think i would go bankrupt first if i'm going to buy everything smap endorsed...

Actually, both the CMs are 'old'. The GATCHAMAN CMs were I think done back in 2000.
This new campaign is a "Recall back by popular demand" thingy...
NTT will re-air their old GATCHAMAN CM starring SMAP on 19 May.
The original Gatchaman has been a popular manga for over 30 years & is one of the longest-running drama series in anime history.
SMAP did 2 versions of the NTT CM back in 2000. Thou the CM is only a min long, it took a lot of computer CGs & the best technology at that time & human resource to produce - much like making a hollywood movie. I presume they only did 2 because it is expensive to produce. The original CMs were aired long ago but it has been the talk of the town for a long time thus NTT decided to re-broadcast the CMs again - something never done before in Japan TV history.
Characters:
Eagle Ken - Masahiro Nakai.
Condor Joe - Takuya Kimura.
Swan Jun - Goro Inagaki.
Swollow Jinpei - Tsuyoshi Kusanagi.
Owl Ryu - Shingo Katori.
So to celebrate this special NTT campaign, I've uploaded the 2 CMs in the DL page. Enjoy!

I like the Takuya & Goro one.... so cute... So rare to see that like that!! I'm also surprised at the pairing!!
Shingo & Tsuyopon... I somehow feel their not actually on water!! Kekeke! Wonder if Nakai's pic is from the current set of Ueto's "Attention Please" drama! Haaha!

A new SMAP NTT Flet's 光CM will air from Thursday 17 June 2006. They are the teachers teaching in a secondary school. Nakai as science teacher, Takuya as sport teacher, Goro as art teacher, Tsuyoshi as language teacher and shingo as school admin.

ＳＭＡＰが先生！？ ＳＭＡＰが出演するＮＴＴ東日本の光ブロードバンド「フレッツ光」の新ＣＭ「スタート編」が、１７日からオンエアされる。
メンバー５人が"ひかり中学校"の先生や校務員さんとして登場。草彅剛が国語、中居正広が理科、稲垣吾郎が美術、木村拓哉が体育、香取慎吾は校務員さんを演じる。生活の中に広がる同商品によって人々の暮らしが豊かに変わっていく様子を、わくわくしたストーリー展開で描いていく。

now, i'm so interested into this cm... they are in a school setting? i like that since im a teacher... a math teacher that is, thus if shingo becomes a math teacher even just in a cm, that would be an added inspiration to my daily life.... hehehe

Yeah they all start the same but have different endings. Volume 2 and 3 are up on the website. These are really cute. I must I like some of the CMs in Japan. They are different than in the US. More characters like this Yeti thing.

When I edited that post, there was only the original "who is Bigfoot" CM in that link.
Now that the site is updated, there are all "Bigfoot's secret" Vol 1, 2 & 3... so altogether there are 4 bigfoot CMs.
So am I supposed to find all my edits to change eveytime something comes up?

２人は会社の上司（渡）と部下（木村）という役柄。「自分、缶コーヒー買いに行って良いですか？」と言って社内会議脱出に成功した渡を、木村がまねする－という設定だ。先輩・渡の表情や声色をまねる、後輩・木村の微妙な演技に注目だ。
