No we don't get ANY Smap here. That's my problem. Since I left Tokyo in August I have had nothing, zero Smap. I was so hoping to see just one glimpse of them. sigh. Honestly, this board and Channel Smap are the two things keeping me sane over here. I'm still getting my daily Smap fix.
Sometimes I just can't remember why I left Japan!

YATTAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Waited 9 months for this!! So exciting. 
From the photos on Planet Takuya, it looks like Shingo & Goro were at Rockafella in New York. Outside the NBC studios for a program called 'Today' at NBC. Someone please tell me if I'm right???? I used to love that program when I was living in Sydney. 
They always have a segment every morning where they'll go outside to meet and greet the pple gathered usually with signs and messages, etc....
I can't wait to watch it..... ahhhhhhh!!!! They're so cute.....

yes yes you are right...which means they were on national tv, live tv...if even for a split second...
imagine the shock of japanese or smap fans living in america....having their morning coffee and suddenly there is shingo and goro!

Oh man!! They were so cute!!! Shingo looked so blur (and totally Kakoii may I add)... Hahahhahaha.... and Goro was just cute!!!! grabbing on Shingo!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!
Running after camera san to be captured on TV!!! Hehehehee.... Wondered if they thought of us (as in fans) when they were doing that!

hehehhee...I just saw the clip in takuyasea with shingo chan and goro chan's batsu game ne...I can't believe I missed it....if I was awake at that time, I would have been able to see them on national tv....ah!!! So cute ne....shingo chan and goro chan chasing after the camera and finally showing "nagi" on tv!!! heheheheh....so cute so cute!!!
I wonder what else they did besides that....the clips were too short but I guess I'll just wait for my vcd ne....god, I hope it comes soon!!!!

OMG, I just saw this.....Shin_chan, ah~~~~ I did not watch it!!! Daxx it all to hill!! I was probably dead asleep, or god forbids, on the internet.... Anyone knows the date that they were on? Maybe I will write to NBC and ask for a copy?! if they want money, I will pay, I want a copy of the Today show! How much? (A crazy Paige shouting to the NBC people)
Well, maybe I should stop kicking myself, after all, I was once in that same set up, waved my hands to my friends through the NBC cameras.. For once, I was actually ahead of SMAP. Wonder if that Today show spot will become the new must -visit -SMAP-spot? Well, I will certainly need to stop by next time I go to NY..
According to a Fuji-TV internet report I read a while back, this wasn't Shingo's only trip to NY, aside from the time they all went for taping a SMAP's music video, Shingo went to NY, April 2001 on a private leisure trip. Maybe I should look for Shingo photos in NY next time I go? Hmm....

Hey Paige, I think the Today Show which showed Shingo chan and Goro chan was on taped and aired on November 13, 2002...btw, it was on Takuya's birthday....but I didn't understand why they practiced juggling and standing on the ball thing because I only got to dl the clips from takuya sea...can't wait to see that episode...so cute ne!!!! God, wish I was awake at that time too....I mean, can you imagine?? I would probably be saying to myself...god, I must have watched too much smap...why are they on US tv?? hehehhehee....
